JULY 2016
Our July PRAYER SUMMIT weekend was a powerful time of worship and intercession for the church, the city of Sarajevo and the nation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Regardless of being held during the mid-summer vacation time, we still had a solid group of intercessors who came together to seek the Lord. We were especially blessed by a Bosnian Croat brother, Stjepan Brekalo, who lives in Germany. He was on vacation to Bosnia and joined us in the PRAYER SUMMIT.

The crowning moment for all of us was launching our first
Kid’s Camp. After having passed out 3000 leaflets and having talked to countless parents, the big day came. Only one boy came and after half an hour he asked his mother if he could go back home – it was boring for him without other children. Such was our ‘birth pang’ in launching our first Kid’s Camp! Not to be discouraged, we set aside our plans and expectations for the first
Kid’s Camp, doubled up on renovation work and preparations for the scheduled 2nd Kid’s Camp the following week. Thankfully we had 6 kids – together the kids and the YWAM team had a blast! The kids learned the story of Creation, the Flood/Noah’s Ark, and enjoyed the games and playing in the indoor playground. The YWAM team were able to taste the ‘firstfruits’ from their labor.

With having the YWAM team from England here, we hosted a couple of ‘LET’S SPEAK ENGLISH!’ evenings for teenagers to provide an opportunity for them to improve their conversational English. On the final evening we had five teenagers. The YWAM team engaged in conversation and games with them – end result was that we have several teenagers who definitely want to attend in the future youth related opportunities at our fellowship.
