EASTER 2015

We daily rejoice in the truth of God’s grace and love demonstrated in and through each of our lives. Serving the Lord Jesus in Sarajevo, capital of the nation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a tremendous honor and privilege. Thank you for partnering with us through your prayers and financial giving in expanding the kingdom of God in this land!

The Gospel: the life – suffering – crucifixion – resurrection of Jesus, is the only true message of hope for the world we live in; the children of our fellowship proclaimed it on Easter Sunday through their songs and paintings. A number of the ladies also came together for a special Easter evening of worship and fellowship.

CONFERENCE FOR IRANIAN BELIEVERS IN TURKEY

In both New Testament times (I Peter 1:1) and early church history, Cappadocia (central region of modern day Turkey) was a refuge for Christians to flee to who were being persecuted – a region with underground cities. In our generation, Cappadocia is again serving as a place of refuge for Iranian refugees – many receiving Jesus into their lives.Thank you for your prayers as we ministered there last month during a conference for Iranian believers – as a fruit from the conference, a new Iranian church was founded! Pray for those serving as leaders and for all the believers as they study and live out the New Testament guidelines for a local church body.

BREAK AWAY TRIP TO CROATIA:
LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE from Ed Black Ministries

We took advantage of the opportunity in our schedule to visit for a week the neighboring country of Croatia, spending a needed few days of rest in the capital Zagreb. After visiting friends at a local church, we also then visited Robert’s younger sister, Maria, and her family who live in Zagreb.

One of the highlights of Zagreb was spending time with a young single mom that we had helped a little just over a year and a half ago when she was abandoned by her family because she would not abort her baby. Eventually, after some months, she was reconciled with her parents and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. It was encouraging to see that she is growing strong in her Christian faith and pursuing her university degree.

We were blessed with the invitation from a new friend, Ed Black, to participate in his annual leadership conference held at a Christian retreat center on the coast – captivating scenery and refreshing fellowship with other church leaders.

PRAYER TARGETS

Spiritual growth for the Dobrinja fellowship and for the mission teams coming throughout the summer to help us in evangelistic outreach.

Pray for those training this month to be teachers for the FOCUS BUSINESS SCHOOL which will be launched in September.

Pray for the SABINA K. project – first ever Bosnian Christian film – as we do private showings to mobilize churches for evangelism and for the right world-wide distributor.

Pray for the further developments of the national Bosnian team and for doors to open wide for Bible distribution throughout the nation.
